Preschool days and hours

The preschool operates 5 days per week 8.50 am -2.50 pm

Group 1 -  Red cockatoos  - Monday and Tuesday -Friday Term 1 and 2

Group 2 -  Yellow cockatoos  -Wednesday and Thursday- Friday Term 2 and 4

Fees

We do not charge fees to attend our preschool. NSW public preschools are funded by the NSW government.

Attendance

Public preschools enrol children for one year only, the year before they start school.

Children can enrol from the beginning of the school year if they turn 4 years of age before 31 July that year.

Transition to school Program

Our Transition to school Program is a robust and high quality school readiness program and is an important part of the preschool learning framework. CARES - (Children Are Ready to Enter School) is an eight-week specialist program for our pre-schoolers and their families transitioning to school. Wayeela Cooinda preschool is in the grounds of Nowra East public school and enables our Children and Educators to participate in and be part of the school community . This is a unique opportunity for your child to have a successful start to Kindergarten.
